Larry Page Biography

Larry Page was born in Michigan, United States of America in 1973. Larry Page is also an internet entrepreneur and computer scientist. Larry Page studied computer science engineering at Stanford University with his classmate Sergey Brin. Together with his classmate Sergey Brin, he launched the search engine Google in 1998. Later, Larry Page became the world's most popular search engine.

Larry Page's Early Life

According to Larry Page's autobiography, from childhood, Larry Page's home was filled with computer science and technology magazines and other innovative. This environment helped him become completely interest in computers. In 2013, he mentioned in a letter to the Google founders that he spent a large part of his childhood reading books and magazines. Renowned author Nicholas Carlson also stated that the combined influence of Larry Page's home environment and his parents' supportive and attentive nature shaped him into a creative individual.

His parents would send him to music classes during summer camp. In Larry Page's biography, he also explained that his interest in music made him even more passionate about computer programming. Larry's first fascination with computers began at the age of six. Back then, he could only play with the components of his parents' first-generation personal computers. In elementary school, he received assignments related to word processing, and his older brother taught him how to complete them. He realized he had to invent something new on a computer. Larry Page's Education

Larry Page began his schooling at the Okemos Montessori School in Okemos, Michigan. He later enrolled at East Lansing High School and completed his schooling in 1991. He attended a summer class at the Interlochen Center and learned to play the flute and saxophone in two summer classes. Larry Page earned a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from the University of Michigan and a master's degree in computer science from Stanford University. While studying at the University of Michigan, he built an inkjet printer from Lego bricks. He later discovered that it was possible to print large posters at a low cost using inkjet cartridges and converted the inkjet printer.

He enrolled in a PhD program in computer science at Stanford University. Later, he began his dissertation analysis and considered exploring the mathematical properties of the World Wide Web. He used large graphs to explain and illustrate the link structure of the World Wide Web.

Inventing Google with Sergey Brin

While pursuing PhDs at Stanford University, Page and Brin created a search engine as a research project. Their search engine project required that sites be ranked by page popularity, and they concluded that the most popular pages were often considered the most useful and displayed first in search results. They named this search engine "Google," which translates mathematically to "googol." The word "googol" means the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. To ensure accurate search results, they combined a vast amount of information from the web.

Later, Larry and Sergey raised $1 million from family, friends, and other investors and launched their two companies in 1998. In 2013, Google became the world's most popular search engine, receiving an average of approximately 5.9 billion searches per year. Google is headquartered in the heart of California's Silicon Valley.
